Trade clients lose receipts. You inherit the mess.
Accountants advising sole traders and micro builders know the pattern: invoices in email, costs in photos, CIS questions in March. Tradeways gives those clients one workspace for proposals, invoices, job costs and expenses so year-end is reconstruction, not archaeology.
Every plan includes an accountant seat focused on finance and invoices. It does not consume a staff seat, so the owner can still put their estimator or office help on the plan.
What you can see and what you still own
From the accountant seat you can work with the finance and invoice picture the client maintains. You still own tax filings, CIS returns, MTD submissions and advice — Tradeways does not replace practice software.
Direct Xero or QuickBooks sync is not available yet. Clients can export data for you to pull into the tools you already use. We would rather say that clearly than promise a sync that is not shipping.
- Accountant seat on every plan
- Finance and invoice visibility without a staff seat
- Job costs and expenses attached to work
- Export for your own accounting software
- Clients stay on simple monthly pricing
A referral channel that helps your clients
When a trade client asks what app to use, pointing them at Tradeways means you may spend less time chasing missing invoices later. Book a demo with them, or send them to pricing so they see Tier 1 at £24 a month (£19.20 for the first three months with the introductory offer).
Neuro-inclusive features — speech to text, screen tints, dyslexia-friendly options — also matter for clients who avoid software. That is often the difference between records that exist and records that do not.
How to get clients started
They sign up, add business details, invite you to the accountant seat, and start putting jobs and invoices through the system. CSV client import helps if they already have a list.
If you advise several trade firms, keep the message consistent: one job record from quote to invoice, expenses logged weekly, you review from your seat.
